3. Be careful using teeth bleaching toothpaste and mouthwash, even a little spot can bleach the cotton material.  
4. Use a gentle wash cycle instead of a Super wash cycle on the wash machine.
5. Any thin fabric you might want to hand wash for longer life.  The thicker the material, the longer the all cotton fibers will last.  
6. Reduce the amount of time and lower the heat in the dryer.

To get the most absorbent towels:  Another quick tip in buying your towels that will be absorbent bath after bath.  Buy carded cotton instead of combed cotton, the lesser grade of cotton will be more absorbent because the fibers have not been combed out of the cotton and there are more fibers to grab the moisture.
